HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUES
Karen Groninger Memorial High School Summer Basketball League
The purpose of this 5 on 5 league is to allow high school teams to play together in the summer to strengthen their basketball skills. Teams will compete against other high schools from around the area. Team standings and scores will be kept. Varsity teams will play a single elimination tournament during the last week of the season.
Grades: 9-12 boys & girls

Fees: $425/team

Registration: March 21 - May 26, 2025

Season: M,T,&TH June 2 - July 18, 2025 (6 games)
Strengthen Skills
By playing in the off season, athletes will be able to keep their basketball skills sharp while also competing against other local school athletes.
Team Bonding
Youth will have the opportunity to bond with their own team in the summer and strengthen their communication on and off the court.
League Policies

Open to all schools around the area.

Athletes must be in grades 9-12 in the upcoming school year.

Varsity& JV Boys'/Girls', divisions will be made based on school size and competitive talent.

If there are not enough teams to fill each division, divisions may be combined.

Games are played in June & July.

If you do not show up to your scheduled game and do not notify the YMCA at least two hours before your game starts, you will be kicked out of the league.

Games will be officiated by certified officials.
League Rules
The league will follow High School Rules except for:

Two 20 minute halves

Running clock except for timeouts and last 2 minutes of the game, if under 10 points
-
NO DUNKING in warm-ups or games

3 timeouts per game

Coach must be present
-
No pressing when ahead by 20 points
