Minot City Council Mask Mandate- Facility Update
The health of our Minot Family Y community has always been our top priority. Following the recent mask mandate issued by the Minot City Council, the Minot Family Y will continue to recommend masks be worn by individuals within our facility where social distancing of six feet or more cannot be maintained.
The CDC recommends that you do not wear a mask or face covering if it creates a new risk- for example, if it interferes with your vision or contributes to heat-related illness. This often includes high-intensity activities, such as running or strenuous exercise.
For your safety, we have asked our staff to wear a mask when social distancing is not a possibility. We have also begun the process of installing sanitizing fans in our facility, which will continue our efforts to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
As we continue to pioneer new decisions and policies during this time, we want to thank you for your continued support. We are thankful for every individual who is part of our community, and we look forward to seeing you at the Y!
