YOUTH BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS & COMPETITIONS
Youth Competitions
Our basketball competitions are a friendly competition among kids of all ages. The goal is to motivate children to love and enjoy the sport, learn the fundamentals, and practice good sportsmanship with a 'everybody plays' mentality. The tournaments are not about who wins, they are about fostering a love for basketball.
YMCA Free Throw Competition
Take your shot (literally) at 50 free throws and see how many you can make! The top 20 scorers in each division will move on to the 2nd round and shoot 50 more free throws! The top 5 shooters will move onto the Championship round and shoot a final 50 free throws!

One winner will be announced for each division and receive a t-shirt and bragging rights! All proceeds go towards our basketball programs and general membership.

YMCA 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament
This tournament is for 7th and 8th grade boys & girls. This tournament has a 3 game guarantee with the schedule released the day of the tournament.

Karen Groninger Memorial Boys Tournament
This tournament is for 3rd-6th grade boys, hosted in memory of Karen Groninger. This tournament has a 3 game guarantee with the schedule released the day of the tournament.

Tournament Rules:
3rd & 4th Grade Division
• Games will consist of four 8 minute quarters.
• Running clock except for free throws and time outs.
• 3 time outs per game (2-30 sec./ 1-Full)
• No Pressing.
• Man-to-man defense.
• Bonus free throws at 7 team fouls, double bonus at 10.​

5th & 6th Grade Divisions
• Game will consist of four 8 minute quarters.
• Running clock except for free throws and time outs.
• Clock will stop on all possessions under last two minutes if under 15 points.
• 3 time outs per game (2-30 sec./ 1-Full).
• No Pressing except last 2 minutes of the full game.
• Man-to-man defense.
• Bonus free throws at 7 team fouls, double bonus at 10.
Karen Groninger Memorial Girls Tournament
